Bootfitting

Have you ever dreaded a day of skiing because your boots are so uncomfortable? It’s no surprise that many times in a season you’ve had to “call it a day” early because your feet were killing you. Though expertly designed to create flawless turns when coupled with the right binding and ski, not all ski boots were designed with comfort in mind.

As the only ski and snowboard shop located on the mountain, the Downhill Supply Company is only home to the latest in tuning and bootfitting technology. The experienced staff delivers personalized service throughout the bootfitting process, ensuring precise shell fit and appropriate cuff flex to optimize the skier’s experience on snow.

The shop features Sidas Custom Technology capable of constructing fully weighted, custom fit orthotics, designed to improve comfort and control internally. Using heated molds, the machine creates custom 3D insoles that fit and forms to the individuals heal and arch for desired pressure, best fit, and maximum shock absorption. These conformable orthotics can help remedy in-boot discomfort from ankle, knee, hip and back pain to cold feet and circulation trouble.

After you’ve experienced the divine comfort of custom fit orthotics, you’ll want a set in every pair of shoes you own. The process can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, but the reward is priceless.

Whether you notice it or not, your boots could be hurting you. Give us a call or stop in to the shop to see if a pair of custom orthotics is right for you!
